Hi, this is me.  My name is Hobo and I just arrived from Birmingham a few days ago.  If you saw my picture on the website, you may already know that I am shy.  All of these new things are really scary to me.  I have been spending most of my time in the crate.  I feel safe and secure in there.  I have ventured out a few times, but I need the comfort of my own space right now.  I have asked that my foster family not look directly at me and give me some time to settle in.  They have been great.  They leave me to myself and mostly just speak to me as they pass by in the hallway.  I really appreciate that.

I have already made a little progress! My foster Mom used to have to come and get me out in the yard.  She would crouch down real low and talk to me quietly and I would slink over to her, usually behind her back.  It got cold outside, so I felt a little bad for her. Just picture her squatting down in that fluffy pink bathrobe. I am sure the neighbors thought she had lost her mind.  Now I come up to the door when I am ready to come inside.  My foster Mom is really happy about that.

This is my favorite thing to do.  I love to run with the other dogs in the yard!  I always forget how scary the world is when I am gliding through the air.

Check back soon for updates on my progress.
